The Mobile Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) was founded in 1886
and is one of the oldest, continuously operating non-profit organizations in Alabama.
It is a limited intake, adoption guarantee, no-kill animal shelter which places approximately
1,200 dogs and cats in their forever homes each year.
The MSPCA programs include pet adoption of homeless and shelter animals, aggressive spay
and neuter assistance, Wednesday low cost spay and neuter clinic, financial emergency
veterinarry assistance, cruelty investigation and animal rescue.
In these hard times, the MSPCA needs our help more than ever. Sources of funding which
were previously allocated to the MSPCA have been redirected to assist people in need
during the economic recession. But the number of animals in need has increased as people
are unable to afford the cost of keeping their beloved pets.
In addition to monetary contributions, the MSPCA welcomes donations of pet food, pet toys
and items which can be resold in their rummage store.
MOBICON XV is proud to sponsor the MSPCA and to that end we encourage our members to bring
either pet food or toys (for dogs or cats) to the convention as part of our Pet Food Fight:
Cats vs. Dogs to help our four-legged friends!
Donations can be sent directly to the MSPCA at the following address:
