Glenda C. Finkelstein entered the world at the height of the Civil Rights movement, Vietnam, the Cold War, and the race to the Moon. These events during her formative years forged her conscience and play a vital role in the themes running through her works. Prejudice, hatred, disabilities, struggles of faith, and an awe for the magic and majesty that is the universe figure prominently. Her words are full of energy and passion deliberately seeking to not only provide an escape from reality, but to challenge and encourage her readers. “Humans possess the most powerful ability in all the cosmos, we can choose.” Glenda is a student of history, astronomy, geology, and art. She is a woman of faith and family, living in Florida with her husband, daughter, and two precocious felines. Her hobbies include pruning and tending to her peace garden that entices a wide variety of butterflies and birds. There she’s able to regain a sense of focus from the demands of life. During the past decade her life has taken many turns, and has granted her opportunities in television, radio, acting for voice/film, writing screenplays, and tackling the role of associate producer for film and radio. All of these have provided challenges, and sweet rewards. In her many public appearances throughout the country she has met many authors and fans. Each one holding a special place in her heart and mind as each experience has added to the fabric of her life. |
